This year we had an amazing year in Europe, giving us some of the best soccer moments from the past decade. In addition to the excitement that was present at the Euro 2012 national teams tournament, this year we had an amazing final in the Champions League when MVP of the game, Didier Drogba, finally granted Chelsea FC with the title their president, Roman Abramovich, has wanted for years.
After a long career in the London based team, Drogba has announced his departure from the Premier League, preferring to finish his career in a slower paced league in China. His last match for the team will for sure be unforgettable, Drogba managed to score for Chelsea granting them a goal that leaded the teams in to a penalty shoot out. The last time Chelsea were in a Champions League finals in shoot outs they had a bitter loss against Manchester United after an evenly skilled match. Since then, Chelsea wanted their first European title for years, and finally, Drogba, just before leaving, granted this for them.
Last years final of the European Champions league will be an unforgettable match, especially thanks to all the excitement, thrill and fun that was in that match. However, we can't forget the way this game was nearly won by one single player, Didier Drogba.
