How is that I’ve managed to go all this time without covering Monster’s Den? It’s criminal, I tell you.

I think it’s been fairly well established that I enjoy a good old school RPG experience. Well, then it should be no surprise that I quite enjoy Monster’s Den. The game is a totally stripped down RPG experience. You create a party, hit a dungeon and you crawl. Dungeon-crawl, that is.

Dungeons are randomly generated, which is always a good thing and you simply click through a map screen to travel around. You explore, pick up treasures and tackles baddies. Combat is handled in an interface that makes it look like you’re playing a sort of Magic: The Gathering card game. You arrange your party in one of six spaces in a 3×3
