It’s not too common to get full-fledged real-time strategy gaming on coming out in anything other than a $50 AAA game format. That’s what makes BC Kings so refreshing. This is a full-featured and fun RTS game that will only run you $20.

Sure there are some things that are pretty laughable about the title, but all in all, it does the genre well and is a good time to play.

Empire of the Gods is a nice departure from your usual casual game. It’s based around a card game paradigm… but it’s really a sort of strategy board game. Immediately, this makes it stand out from the crowd of Luxor, Bejeweled, Mystery Case Files and Diner Dash clones. However, it cannot escape the super-trendy Egypt theme that is plaguing casual gaming (get it - Egypt… plague - it’s hilarious, trust me).

However, that’s not really an issue because Empire of the Gods takes its theme, integrates it to the gameplay and looks good doing it.

Do you get any more classic than Tetris? You might, but you need to look to Mario and Pac-Man for that honor. Tetris is iconic and has inspired nearly every block puzzle video game that has been released since. And still, all these years later, there are very, very few titles that can match it for playability.

There have been modern updates made to Tetris, typically around changing the format of the block placement or making it a versus style match… but nothing like 99 Bricks has been done until… well… until 99 Bricks.

Alex Gordon is a solid side-scrolling platformer for all ages. Well… maybe not for all ages. Mostly for the younger ages… but that’s actually its strongest selling point.

Most platformer games are too tricky for young gamers. They depend too much on small characters making tricky and dexterous maneuvers to get through each level. Alex Gordon, however, deals with those issues by giving games large characters, forgiving controls, wide platforms and very slowly expanding gameplay elements.
